This project involved ground levelling on agricultural land followed by yard preparation works, improving both usability and drainage across two separate site areas in a single day.
The Situation
The first part of the job was carried out on farmland where uneven ground and excess material from a hillside and cattle area had left the field difficult to use.
The second part of the project took place at Seafield Goods Yard, where large rocks needed removing and repositioning to improve both appearance and layout behind the kerb line.

Both areas required practical, no-nonsense solutions to improve usability without overcomplicating the work.
Our Approach
We began by tracking machinery (Caterpillar 308, 10 Ton and Caterpillar 301.6, 1.5 Ton) onto site and carrying out ground levelling works across the field.
Soil was moved and redistributed from the hillside and cattle area to create a flatter, more usable surface. A camber was then formed to encourage proper water runoff and prevent future waterlogging.
The area was then tidied, leaving it clean and level.
Rocks were also removed from behind the kerb line and the area was dug out and prepared, with concrete used to securely position display rocks in situ, improving both structure and appearance.

- Field levelled and made suitable for use

The Outcome
A productive day delivering improvements across two separate areas. The field is now level, better drained, and easier to manage, while the yard has been tidied and structured for a cleaner, more functional finish.
